12 Weeks

So far, I've had two ultrasounds in just one week. Crazy, huh? I had to go in last week because Kai ended up kicking me while he was having a tantrum? Terrible two's before he is even two. I went in to make sure everything was okay. They couldn't find the heartbeat through a doppler, so they needed to do an ultrasound. Baby A's heart rate was a strong 167.

Yesterday was a routine check and we did the Nuchal Translucency Scan. The ultrasound was pretty long, because they needed to  make sure Baby A was in the right spot for the screening. I was just so happy to see my baby. I also found out that I have a tilted uterus. Heart rate was at 166 and doctor said everything looks good.

Survey time:

How far along?: 12 weeks
How big is baby?: The size of a plum.
Stretch marks?: still have the ones from my first pregnancy.
Maternity clothes: maternity pants and avoiding tight tops. I am showing earlier for this pregnancy.
Sleep?: Need more of it.
Best moment this week?: Feeling my baby move.
Food Cravings?: Fruits and Izzie drinks. Filipino food. Sometimes Chinese Food. Chocolate. Soup.
Gender?: Based on the Chinese Gender Prediction Chart-Girl. Heart rate-Girl. Nausea and Bad Morning Sickness-Girl. Cravings-Girl. Because everything points to Girl, most likely it will be a Boy. LOL! We shall see. Two months before I find out for sure.
Movement?:  I felt baby this morning! : )
What I miss?: SLEEP!
Belly button:  Still in.
What I'm looking forward to?: Getting through my first trimester and finding out the gender!
Milestone: "The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.
Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be"-babycenter.com
