It is survey time again!
How far along?: 10 weeks and 2 days
How big is baby?: The size of a prune.
Weight gain?: I have no idea. I'll find out in a week and a half.
Stretch marks?: still have the ones from my first pregnancy.
Maternity clothes: maternity pants and avoiding tight tops. I am showing earlier for this pregnancy.
Sleep?: Kai and Hubby have been sick this week, so no sleep for Mama.
Best moment this week?: When this week is over.
Food Cravings?: Fruits and Izzie drinks. Also, my sister's apple crisp with pecans. Nordy's! I thought about their ribs yesterday and started drooling. Why don't they have a restaurant near my place?

Movement?: Can I count gas?
What I miss?: SLEEP!
Belly button: Still in.
What I'm looking forward to?: Getting through my first trimester and baby's next ultrasound in 11 days!
Milestone: "With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)."-Thebump.com
This is a blog about my family's day to day adventures. Some are goofy, some are amazing, some are pretty ordinary, but most people can definitely relate to the different things my family goes through. I also love food, so I will be experimenting with some recipes (old, new, and also from different countries). Please follow me on my journey. Sit tight...because here we go!

Kai Noah
Here are two pics I haven't posted of Kai.
Haircut earlier this year:
Kai feeding himself. My big boy! :)
I had such a memorable moment with Kai tonight. I was putting him down for the night. He knows that when mama says, "Night, night time" that it is bedtime. Mama says a good night prayer, and Kai tries to chime along with his own toddler talk. He ask for his Thomas the train by saying, "Choo choo, mama. Choo choo, night night." So his Daddy comes in with Thomas and kisses him good night. We finally lay back down. After a few minutes of silence, Kai leans over to see if I am still awake, he calls out, "Mama?" Seeing my eyes closed, he leans over and kisses my shoulder, "Night night, Mama."
Being the emotional wreck that I am because of my hormones, I, of course, end up crying.

8 Weeks
Okay, it must just be me, but I feel like the first trimester is crawling by real slow. With Kai, my pregnancy was so easy and the only time I had problems was towards the end of my pregnancy. This time around, morning sickness (more like 24/7 sickness) is kicking my butt. I literally feel like this baby is draining my energy. I keep looking at Kai to keep myself motivated, knowing that all of this will be worth it in the end.
I purchased some sea bands the other day and that seems to be the only thing that helps. I tried everything else (preggy pops, ginger candy, eating every 2 hours, eating saltines, drinking ginger ale, etc.) but nothing worked. I hope the next 3 and half weeks goes by faster. I just want to feel some sort of energy to get through the day.
Anyway, here's my first survey. I didn't do it with Kai, so I thought it would be a great idea to do it for this little munchkin.
How far along?: 8 weeks and 4 days
How big is baby?: The size of a raspberry and in a few days it will be as big as a green olive.
Weight gain?: too scared to look at the scale. Based on last doctor's visit I think I gained 3 lbs.
Stretch marks?: still have the ones from my first pregnancy.
Maternity clothes: maternity jeans and avoiding tight tops. I am showing earlier for this pregnancy.
Sleep?: What is that? I have to wake up at least 2x every night to go pee.
Best moment this week?: Buying my Sea Bands. :)
Food Cravings?: Pancakes and fruits. I cannot stand fried/oily/ or any fast food.
Gender?: I have no idea. It's too early at this point.
Movement?: Nope.
What I miss?: Having energy and not feeling sick all the time. I also miss being able to eat a lot.
Belly button: Still in.
What I'm looking forward to?: Getting through my first trimester.
Milestone: "Your baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy."-Thebump.com

Heartbeat
Today I heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time. Now I know I sound like a sappy new mom, but I am so proud of my little one. To think I've gone through this before already, you would think it wouldn't make the same impact as the first time. Each heartbeat was like music to my ears. It brings tears to my eyes just remembering the moment.
I love you already, little one.
